What is LibreWorlds? LibreWorlds is a project to restore, preserve and continue Worlds in service of its community. We aim to do this in as many avenues as possible, such as providing our own compatible implementation of the Worlds servers, which is our current focus. How do I connect to the LibreWorlds servers? Currently, only our test server is online. You are welcome to use it! Naturally, being a test server, the server will receive updates requiring it to be restarted, may break, or not behave correctly. Server downtime for updates are announced globally on the server, as well as in general, and typically lasts only a few minutes. WorldsPlayer Required >Open override.ini in your Worlds installation >Locate the [Runtime] section >Add WorldServer=worldserver://test.libreworlds.org:32147 >Remove or comment (#) any other WorldServer entries Recommended >Open worlds.ini in your Worlds installation >Locate the [Gamma] section >Add upgradeServer=http://upgrade.libreworlds.org/3DCDup >Remove or comment (#) any other upgradeServer entries This should not be required as the server sends the client the correct setting, but this helps the correct upgrade server be used. Suggested PermitAnyAvatar Some users are experimenting with creating new avatars. In order to see these avatars, this setting must be enabled. If not set, these users will appear as the default avatar (e.g. Pengo). We intend on making this setting unnecessary by improving the custom avatar process. Warning: Having this option enabled may result in your client crashing when experimental avatars are displayed. >Open worlds.ini in your Worlds installation >Locate the [Gamma] section >Add PermitAnyAvatar=1
